Who We Are

Waluwin Ngurambang has been providing consultancy, ecological, and educational services since 2021.

Waluwin Ngurambang is based on Wiradjuri Country in central west New South Wales and works with private landholders, local land councils, landcare groups, businesses and schools across NSW, Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania to support Caring for Country education, activities and ecological restoration projects.

Waluwin Ngurambang owner operator is proud Kalari Wiradjuri man Ngalan Gilbert who has grown up immersed in community and Caring for Country practices.

Ngalan is a Cultural Fire Practitioner, he is a member of Koori Country Cultural Fire and has been a volunteer firefighter with the ACT and NSW Rural Fire Service. 

Ngalan’s professional working background includes roles in Parks Visitor Services, Fire Management, Facilities and Land Management for the ACT and NSW Government. 

Ngalan was the 2021 Young Canberra Citizen of the Year, Environment and Sustainability Award winner and a 2022 ACT Landcare Awards finalist. 

Ngalan is also an experienced event panellist, and keynote speaker.

Waluwin Ngurambang works with a network of Cultural Fire practitioners environmental specialists, educators and consultants to support healthy country and healthy people.
